Manchester United are poised to offload two goalkeepers, with Radek Vitek set to join Middlesbrough in a deal potentially worth up to £14 million, while Altay Bayindir prepares for a loan move to Celta Vigo.

Vitek, a 22-year-old Czech shot-stopper, is nearing a permanent switch to last season’s Championship play-off finalists Middlesbrough following an impressive loan spell at Bristol City.

The young keeper initially arrived at Old Trafford from Sigma Olomouc in 2020, having also spent time on loan at Accrington and Blau-Weiss Linz before his successful stint at Ashton Gate.

The Press Association understands that United have secured matching rights and a buy-back option as part of the agreement with Boro, which includes bonuses that could push the fee to £14m, alongside a sell-on clause of up to 35 per cent.

Meanwhile, Turkey international Bayindir, 28, is close to finalising a season-long loan to La Liga side Celta Vigo.

Since joining United from Fenerbahce in 2023, Bayindir has primarily served as a back-up option. His temporary departure includes performance-related bonuses, with the Spanish club also covering his wages.

Celta Vigo will have the opportunity to make the move permanent, reportedly for a fee of £3.5m, which would also include a sell-on clause for United.

These moves follow Andre Onana’s return to Trabzonspor on loan, signalling a significant reshuffle in United's goalkeeping ranks.

Michael Carrick is actively restructuring his squad this summer, with number one Senne Lammens now joined by summer signing Karl Darlow.

The club has also signed multiple outfield players as they prepare for a return to the Champions League after finishing third in the Premier League last term.

Andrey Santos has arrived from Chelsea, while fellow midfielder Youri Tielemans has moved to Old Trafford after United triggered his Aston Villa release clause.

More signings are expected before the transfer window slams shut, with United set for a much busier campaign after only playing 40 matches across all competitions last season.

United will begin their season with a trip to newly promoted Hull City on 22 August, while they are scheduled to play Ipswich Town in their first home match eight days later.
