Manchester United have been handed injury boosts ahead of their Europa League game against FC Porto on Thursday.

Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire trained this morning, according to Sky Sports journalist Ben Ransom.

However, Mason Mount missed training as a precaution after the head injury he suffered against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Man United star has passed concussion checks and is expected to be available for selection tomorrow.

Mainoo was withdrawn after an injury against Spurs, with Mount replacing him, but the former Chelsea midfielder was also withdrawn in the 85th minute after the head injury.

Maguire was not involved against Tottenham but is now available for selection and should join the squad when they fly to Portugal this afternoon.

Man United manager Erik ten Hag is under pressure following the 3-0 loss to Spurs at the weekend, and a defeat on Thursday could further compound his woes.

The Red Devils started their European campaign with a 1-1 draw with FC Twente at Old Trafford last Wednesday and will be desperate to pick up all three points against the Portuguese club tomorrow.

They visit Aston Villa on Sunday and will need to avoid defeat if Ten Hag is to boost his chances of holding on to his job until after the next international break.

Man United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe reportedly has Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi on his radar.

He is a serious contender to replace the Dutchman, whose position will be reassessed during the international break in October.

The results of the next two games could be very crucial for the future of Ten Hag, and having Mainoo, Maguire and Mount available for selection is huge.
