Rubén Amorim set to include teenage defender Godwill Kukonki in his first ever Manchester United squad today.
The 16-year-old academy product has trained with the first-team squad during the international break and is set to be rewarded with a place in the squad at Portman Road.
Manchester United are short defensively with doubts over Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez. Leny Yoro has returned to training after a broken foot but it is unclear whether he is ready to be involved.
Kukonki has impressed Amorim in training this week and Academy Scoop have revealed he is in line to make the matchday squad. The defender has been with United since the age of five.
Amorim will take charge of Manchester United for the first time at Ipswich this afternoon, following his arrival from Sporting Lisbon. He inherits a team sat 12th in the Premier League table, following the club’s worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign.
