Manchester United host Manchester City in the first Manchester derby of the Premier League season.

Michael Carrick’s first game of his caretaker spell came in this fixture in January, when he oversaw a superb win over Pep Guardiola’s team.

Having now earned the job on a permanent basis, Carrick is now tasked with building United towards a title challenge – but four points from the first three games is an underwhelming start.

Enzo Maresca will get his first taste of the derby as Manchester City manager, with the Italian enjoying a fine start to life at the Etihad so far with three wins from win in the league.

Can Maresca make it an excellent opening period for City and hand United another early set-back? Here’s everything you need to know

When is Man United v Man City on TV?

Kick-of at Old Trafford is at 4:30pm BST on Sunday 13 September.

How can I watch it?

The Manchester derby will be shown on SKy Sports Main Event and Premier League.

What is the team news?

Michael Carrick was unsure whether left back Luke Shaw would be fit after he sat out Thursday’s 4-0 win over Sabah in the Champions League, with Patrick Dorgu filling in for the former England international. Two goals in two games for Benjamin Sesko could see the striker rewarded with a starting berth.

Nico O’Reilly is available for Manchester City after pulling up injured in the warm-up ahead of last weekend’s win over Coventry. Enzo Fernandez and Ayyoub Bouaddi have settled in quickly but there is only one space available next to Elliott Anderson, while Jeremy Doku remains sidelined. Matheus Nunes returned from injury in midweek and could start.

Manchester United XI: Lammens; Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Dorgu; Mainoo, Tielemans; Mbeumo, Fernandes, Cunha; Sesko
