Manchester United Women have endured a rather torrid summer so far.

Departures

United Women have brought in Spanish full-back Andrea Medina, who can also play in the centre of defence.

Unfortunately, she has so far been the club’s only signing this summer.

Experienced stars such as Millie Turner, Leah Galton, and Hannah Blundell have all left the club this summer.

Lisa Naalsund has also officially left United, joining Turner at newly promoted Birmingham City.

It is also widely believed that star striker Melvine Malard will leave the club, as Chelsea have had a bid accepted for the French international.

Pre-season

While fans of the Women’s team will hope the board can secure some new signings, Marc Skinner’s side have outlined their plans for the new season.

The fixtures for the new Women’s Super League are due to be announced on 30th July at 10:00 BST.

The season will begin between 4th and 6th September.

Preparations

The club’s official website has provided details on how the squad will prepare for the start of the new season.

The site announced, “Manchester United Women will head to Spain this summer for a pre-season camp that will form part of the team’s preparations for the upcoming 2026/27 campaign.”

The article continues, “Marc Skinner’s Reds will have the opportunity to train on the continent and pick up match minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Barclays Women’s Super League 2 side Newcastle United.”

The fixture will take place in Murcia and is scheduled to be played sometime between 14th and 19th August.
