Man Utd complete signing of Hanna Lundkvist | OneFootball

Manchester United have completed the signing of Sweden international Hanna Lundkvist.

The 23-year-old right-back arrives at the club after spending two seasons in the NWSL with San Diego Wave having previously represented Atlético de Madrid and Hammarby.

"I am really excited to be here," Lundkvist said after penning a deal until the end of the 2028/29 season. 

"Manchester United is a club with an amazing history. You can feel how much they have grown in the last few years, competing in one of the strongest leagues in the world and performing in the Champions League.

"Speaking with Marc [Skinner] and the coaches confirmed all of the great things I have heard about the culture of the team here. I cannot wait to get started and help the group to achieve more success.”

Lundkvist is now the fourth Swedish player in the squad alongside Anna Sandberg and summer signings Julia Zigiotti Olme and Fridolina Rolfö.

United are keen to bolster their squad with Bayern Munich's Lea Schüller also expected to arrive at the club.
