Ethan Wheatley says Lincoln City is the ideal place to continue his development after joining the Imps from Manchester United on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old forward has made four senior appearances for United, including three Premier League outings and one in the Carabao Cup.
Wheatley arrives at the ProAmpac Stadium having gained valuable EFL experience with Walsall, Northampton Town and Bradford City over the past 18 months.
The forward is now relishing the chance to test himself in the Championship.
“I’ve been waiting for this to get over the line for quite a while and I’m just really excited to get here, meet all the lads and get going,” Wheatley said.
“I’ve had some loans over the past 18 months. I started in League Two, then last season League One so am looking forward to stepping up to the Championship.

“Lincoln City is a great place for me to showcase what I’m about, but more importantly help the club in what they aspire to do this season.
“I played against Lincoln last season and didn’t really enjoy it, so I’m glad to be part of the team now.”
Wheatley follows fellow youngster Jacob Devaney in leaving the club on a temporary basis, who has joined Hibernian for the season, though the deal could be made permanent with the Scottish club holding an option to make the move permanent.
More exits could also follow before the transfer window shuts with Toby Collyer, Dan Gore and Harry Amass also able to depart if the right offers arrive.
Meanwhile, United are keen on bringing in a left-back before the deadline, and are set to sign midfielder Carlos Baleba.
