Peterborough United have signed Manchester United winger Ethan Williams for a “sizeable” fee.
The 20-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the League One club after recently featuring for Manchester United during their pre-season tour of Finland, Norway and Sweden.
He made 22 appearances on loan at Falkirk last season before returning to Manchester United and featuring during their summer preparations.
Peterborough manager Luke Williams is excited by the prospect of working with the winger and believes he will provide another attacking option for his side.
“Ethan is a player that will give us another option in the wide areas,” Williams said.
“He is quick, direct and will be a threat and I am looking forward to working with him.”

Despite being unable to establish himself in Manchester United’s first team, the youngster is looking forward to beginning a new chapter with Peterborough.
“I have enjoyed my time at United and it’s always tough to leave a place like that, but there comes a time in your career where you have to make tough decisions to develop yourself and Peterborough is renowned for helping younger players,” he said.
Williams becomes the latest player to leave Manchester United, with several more departures expected before the window shuts.
United will also listen to offers for youngsters Harry Amass, Dan Gore and Toby Collyer, while Joshua Zirkzee continues to be linked with a move back to Italy.
