Manuel Ugarte officially transferred from Paris Saint-Germain to Manchester United on Friday. After both clubs confirmed the move, reactions to the deal quickly started pouring in.

Multiple reports indicate that PSG will get a fixed fee of €50 million for Ugarte, along with an additional €10 million in add-ons and a 10 percent sell-on clause as part of his transfer to Manchester United.

In addition, journalist Duncan Castles noted this week that there are no hard feelings towards Ugarte from PSG. They actually expect him to become one of Manchester United’s standout players in the future.

Now that the move is made, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook is praising the transfer since it is a position that the Red Devils have neglected for a long time.

“It’s a shrewd piece of business for United to get a player who solves a problem that’s been there for a long time,” Crook said. “So I think this is potentially a Manchester United Could Have ‘Transformative’ Boost with Potential Signing of Former PSG Star signing for Manchester United. I’m really excited about it.”

Ugarte’s move didn’t become official in time for this weekend’s match against Liverpool. As a result, the Uruguayan will have to wait until after the international break to make his debut for Manchester United.
