Manchester United are up to second place in the WSL, at least until later this evening, after defeating Liverpool in Leigh.
It was an even first half between the two sides with Liverpool having more of the ball but United having the better of the opportunities.
The goals eventually arrived in the second half though with Lisa Naalsund giving her side the lead in the 52nd minute after she was found by Jess Park in the box before firing into the top corner.
Liverpool equalised soon after from a corner delivery that ended in some ping pong before Alice Bergström got the final touch to make it 1-1. United weren't happy though with Phallon Tullis-Joyce believing she was fouled by Bergström in the build-up.
Parity lasted just seconds though when Julia Zigiotti Olme found Naalsund who scored her second of the day after firing through the defender's legs and past Jennifer Falk.
The win was wrapped up late on with United's big contingent of Swedes combining: Ellen Wangerheim had the ball on the right and found Hanna Lundkvist who pulled the ball back for Fridolina Rolfö to finish.
Marc Skinner will have been even happier to see three of his substitutes combining to finish off the game.
