Manchester United have a brilliant opportunity to sign Fiorentina wonderkid Michael Kayode as a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.
The Red Devils currently have Diogo Dalot and Wan-Bissaka as their right-back options, but the latter appears likely to head for the exit door soon.
The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his contract and it Galatasaray and West Ham United are reportedly interested in securing his services.
United should look at signing Kayode as Wan-Bissaka’s successor. The 19-year-old has made big strides over the past year with Fiorentina.
The teenager made 37 appearances in all competitions last season. He had a passing accuracy of almost 88 percent in Serie A with two tackles won per game.
Kayode also won 60 percent of his duels with four recoveries and 1.5 clearances per outing. He also caught the eye with his contributions in the final third.
The young Italian managed five goal involvements. He registered 21 accurate crosses in the Serie A campaign. By contrast, Wan-Bissaka accumulated only five.
Kayode has similar defensive attributes as Wan-Bissaka. He would be an upgrade on the Englishman and provide good competition to Dalot.
Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa have already failed with £17 million bids to sign him, and Viola News claim Fiorentina want at least £21.2m to sanction his departure.
Kayode would be a bargain signing for United. The Red Devils must look to beat their Premier League rivals in the pursuit of the highly-rated full-back.
