Man Utd join list of clubs interested in Hayden Hackney

Manchester United are the latest Premier League club to be linked with a move for Hayden Hackney this summer.

The Red Devils are keen to rebuild their midfield this summer with Casemiro's departure and Manuel Ugarte likely to be sold on and according to journalist Scott Wilson of The Northern Echo, Hayden Hackney is on their radar.

United boss Michael Carrick previously worked with Hackney during his stint in charge of Middlesbrough and is reportedly 'championing' the idea of signing the 23-year-old.

However, United will face competition from at least two other top flight sides with Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur expected to move for the player.

Former England youth international Hackney came through the academy at Middlesbrough and quickly became an established part of the team. This season, the midfielder has played 41 games in all competitions scoring six goals and making seven assists.
