Manchester United may have enjoyed a winning start to the Champions League but OL Lyonnes showed there was still much to do for Marc Skinner's side.

The Red Devils boss elected to change his line-up and go for physicality with the likes of Rachel Williams, Simi Awujo, and Lisa Naalsund all starting at the expense of more technical players.

That change didn't seem to make too much of a difference with Tabitha Chawinga giving her side the lead early on after heading in from Ingrid Engen's cross.

United really struggled to create anything and ended up finishing the game without a single shot on target although Melvine Malard did have a good chance to equalise in the first half.

Skinner made three changes at half-time bringing on Ella Tone, Julia Zigiotti Olme, and Jess Park but it wasn't enough to put the French side under pressure.

Indeed, the result was wrapped up late on after a brace from Melchie Dumornay made it 3-0 to the visitors.

The result means Manchester United are ninth in the Champions League although they know they will still go through to the knock-out stage. Skinner will be hoping his side can get back to winning ways in the WSL on Sunday but it won't be easy against in-form Tottenham Hotspur.
