Paris Saint-Germain have continued to strengthen its connection with Portugal under sporting advisor Luis Campos, adding promising players like Vitinha, João Neves, and Gonçalo Ramos to their ranks. Now, it looks like PSG has set its sights on another exciting prospect.
Foot Mercato reported that PSG, along with Manchester City and Manchester United, are closely watching 17-year-old Geovany Quenda from Sporting Lisbon. Manchester United’s interest is particularly noteworthy, given that their manager, Rúben Amorim, recently made the move from Sporting.
Additionally, CaughtOffside revealed that Newcastle United are also in the mix. While no official bids have been made, the report mentions that the Magpies are growing increasingly interested in bringing Quenda aboard as part of their plan to secure top young talents.
TEAMtalk also reported last month, citing sources, that Liverpool are poised to join Manchester United in discussing a potential move for Quenda.

Portuguese outlet A Bola, as reported by The Manchester Evening News, claims that Manchester United have set aside £50 million to try and secure Quenda from Sporting.
The report claims that United could face competition from Liverpool, who are also interested in the teenager. Both clubs have had scouts watching Quenda this season and have been impressed by his performances.
Liverpool are said to be planning a move for Quenda next summer, so United will need to act quickly to beat their rivals. The winger’s strong relationship with Sporting manager Ruben Amorim could give Manchester United an advantage in the race.
Quenda is under contract with Sporting until 2027, with an £84 million release clause in his deal. While the Portuguese club are reluctant to let him go, they are open to negotiations for a significant fee.
