Man Utd set to sign Spanish defender Andrea Medina | OneFootball

Manchester Unitedcould soon complete first signing of the summer window with Andrea Medina expected to make the switch from Atlético de Madrid.

Manager Marc Skinner will certainly have seen enough of the 22-year-old this summer with the Spanish youth international playing against the Red Devils in both Champions League games for Atleti this season.

It had been a dramatic European campaign for Medina who was rushed to hospital after picking up a head injury in the game against Juventus although she recovered to return to action shortly after.

According to Tom Garry of The Guardian, United now have an agreement to sign Medina on a transfer when her contract with Atleti expires at the end of the month – a deal that would make her the club's first summer arrival.

Medina joined the Madrid side from Real Betis in the summer of 2022 and this season featured in 44 games for the team across all competitions, chipping in with two goals.
