Manchester United are reportedly finalising a deal to sign 22-year-old striker Benjamin Šeško from RB Leipzig.
According to journalist David Ornstein, Leipzig accepted an €82.5 million bid (plus an additional €2.5m in bonuses) offer from Newcastle United—but Šeško has expressed a clear preference to join United.
Their own offer is believed to be in the region of €75m plus €10m in potential add-ons.
While no official agreement has yet been reached between the clubs, talks are progressing toward a conclusion, with Old Trafford now expected to be his destination.
Šeško, who has impressed in the Bundesliga with his scoring ability, is expected to strengthen United’s attacking options following a disappointing league finish last season.
Fans and pundits are now eagerly awaiting confirmation of the transfer, which could mark one of the most high-profile moves of the summer.
