Victor Osimhen’s transfer drama kept fans on edge all summer, with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly eyeing the Nigerian striker. Now, after regaining his impressive form from the 2022-23 season at Galatasaray, he’s expected to attract even more interest from top clubs next year.

Following an unsuccessful move away from Napoli, the 25-year-old joined Galatasaray on loan and has been in exceptional form. He has already scored 10 goals and provided five assists in just 13 appearances for the Turkish side this season.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Osimhen’s release clause is set at around €80 million in January, with the possibility of it dropping to €70 million next summer. Recently, Daniel Riolo from After Foot RMC claimed PSG may rekindle their interest in the striker.

CaughtOffside reported on Monday, citing sources, that Osimhen is emerging as a key target for Manchester United due to the uncertainty surrounding Marcus Rashford’s future and the lack of impact from Joshua Zirkzee since his move to Old Trafford this summer.

Although Osimhen has rediscovered his form with the Turkish side, there’s a worrying stat that should raise concerns for any club interested in signing him in 2025.

WhoScored spotlighted that, despite playing in only four of the six matches so far, Osimhen is the biggest xG underperformer in the UEFA Europa League this season (-3.37).

CaughtOffside recently reported that Arsenal and Chelsea are exploring other top forward options, including Osimhen and Juventus’ Dušan Vlahović.
