Manchester United are keen on completing a deal for Chelsea attacking midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka ahead of the transfer deadline tonight, according to Sky Sports News journalist Dharmesh Sheth.
A move for the 20-year-old will not involve Jadon Sancho, as the proposed move of the Red Devils forward to Chelsea is a standalone deal.
Man United have explored a possible move for Chukwuemeka in a separate deal, with the former Aston Villa forward one of a number of players that could leave the Stamford Bridge club before the deadline.
Chukwuemeka wants regular football and has also been linked with a loan move to West Ham United in his search of more playing chances, but joining Man United could be more appealing.
The Red Devils are not short of options in attack, with Amad, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Marcus Rashford all available to manager Erik ten Hag.
However, the 6ft 2in Chukwuemeka can also play as a centre midfielder, in defensive midfield, behind the striker and as a striker, and Man United could do with his versatility and talents within their ranks.
