Chelsea and Liverpool are both showing strong interest in Hugo Ekitiké, who is expected to leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer. Paris Saint-Germain are set to receive 20 percent of any transfer fee thanks to a sell-on clause.

Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg previously stated that Ekitiké is high on Liverpool’s shortlist. The French striker is aware that a move to Anfield would likely require patience, as the club needs to offload players before making any additions.

Meanwhile, according to Bild, Arsenal are reportedly set to enter the Ekitiké race. The 23-year-old is coming off an impressive season, scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions. Frankfurt are said to value him at around €100 million.

Ekitiké has already attracted interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. But after missing out on RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres, Arsenal are now expected to step up their pursuit.

On Thursday, CaughtOffside reported, citing sources, that Ékitiké has emerged as Liverpool’s top transfer target.

According to the report, Ékitiké is aware that Liverpool may need to offload players before making a move and is reportedly willing to wait while the club clears space in the squad.

Liverpool had initially focused on Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, citing his proven Premier League track record. However, negotiations have been complex, with Newcastle placing a £150 million price tag on the Swedish international and signaling their reluctance to sell.
