According to spl.com.sa, Al Qadsiah have parted company with manager Michel after two years in charge.
The Real Madrid great led the Al Khober club back into the 2024-25 Roshn Saudi League.
Last season they finished fourth on their first RSL campaign in four years and reached the King’s Cup final, losing to newly crowned Saudi champions Al Ittihad.
Al Qadsiah are fifth in the 2025-26 table after nine rounds. Michel’s final match was a narrow defeat to Al Ahil in Matchweek nine. Their next league game is at home to Damac on December 27.
The decision followed a planned review by the executive management and board, focused on sustaining the team’s progression in line with long-term ambitions and strategic objectives.
Gratitude was extended to Michel Gonzalez and his staff for their professionalism and contributions, with his role in promotion to the Saudi Pro League and the King’s Cup run fondly recalled.
Al Qadsiah are moving swiftly to appoint a new men’s football head coach to ensure a smooth transition, with a further update to follow imminently.
Michel becomes the third managerial departure in the RSL this season, following Laurent Blanc’s exit from Al Ittihad and Javier Calleja’s departure from Al Riyadh.
