Here are the City player ratings as Manchester City picked up a 3-nil win over Crystal Palace today at Selhurst Park. A brace from Erling Haaland and a second-half goal from Phil Foden were enough for Pep Guardiola’s side to pick up a valuable three points. City had to ride their luck at times to see off a determined Crystal Palace side. The determination and quality in the final third that this City side possesses was the difference between the two teams.
The City player ratings reflect Manchester City’s performance. Erling Haaland was the difference between the two teams as was City’s quality in the final third. Manchester City’s defence also fought and scrapped to preserve their clean sheet which was pleasing to see.
Gianluigi Donnarumma-8/10: Made several quality saves and dealt with Crystal Palace’s set-piece threat well.
Matheus Nunes-8/10: The assist from Matheus Nunes to set up Erling Haaland’s opening goal was brilliant. He did his work both in and out of possession extremely well today.
Ruben Dias-7.5/10: Dias dealt with the physical threat of Jean-Philippe Mateta extremely well. His strong form continued.
Josko Gvardiol-8/10: I thought Gvardiol was superb in the heart of Manchester City’s defence. He was also good on the ball throughout the game.
Nico O’Reilly-8/10: I thought Nico O’Reilly defended superbly well at left-back before he was taken off. A very good performance once again from the young England international.
Nico-6.5/10: He was caught on possession on several occasions as he wasn’t at his best on the ball. Nico’s ability to win duels was crucial to Manchester City’s win.
Bernardo Silva-6.5/10: Loved his effort even though at times he seemed to be swamped in midfield as Nico did at times.
Tijjani Reijnders-6.5/10: I liked the work rate displayed by Reijnders throughout today’s match. His end product in the final third was just off, but he did what he had to do for his team today.
Phil Foden-7.5/10: Grabbed a second-half goal with a superb finish. I thought Foden was on the periphery of today’s match but when needed his quality shone through.

Rayan Cherki-8.5/10: Another superb performance from Rayan Cherki. He was a constant threat to the Crystal Palace defence and his run and assist to set up Phil Foden’s goal was brilliant.
Erling Haaland-9/10: Scored a brace and his work rate was superb. Haaland was the difference between the two teams as his finishing broke open today’s match.
Savinho- 7/10: His run from his own half to earn Manchester City a late penalty was superb. That is exactly what the Brazilian international can do when he is switched on.
Omar Marmoush-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
Rayan Ait-Nouri-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
Rico Lewis-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
