In a recent report, Bild mentioned that Manchester City are eager to re-sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha this summer. It has been claimed that the Mancunian giants are showing interest in recruiting the German talent later this year.
The 25-year-old managed to shine at times with his performances for Borussia Dortmund in the previous campaign when he put in a run of impressive displays for them in the Bundesliga. Nmecha registered five goals and picked up three assists in 42 matches for the German outfit last season across various competitions.
The German talent is currently one of the best central midfielders in the Bundesliga. Therefore, Man City would do well to bring him back to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
His current contract at the Signal Iduna Park will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for the Mancunian club to consider in this transfer window.

Nmecha doesn’t mind working hard for his team defensively when needed. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third. Nmecha is also quite clever with his movements in and around the opposition penalty area.
The German talent can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from midfield. Nmecha is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also operate as a defensive midfielder or in the number ten position if told to do so by his manager. However, it remains to be seen whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Mancunian giants manage to re-sign him later this year.
We can expect Nmecha to add more quality and depth to Man City’s midfield department. He is capable of challenging for a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium in the coming seasons.
At 25, Nmecha has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent option for the Mancunian club to pursue this summer. With all things considered, Man City would be wise to get Nmecha on board before the end of this transfer window.
