In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Manchester City are eyeing a move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian giants have set their sights on the Argentine talent ahead of a potential move in the upcoming transfer window.

Fernandez’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

Fernandez has enjoyed a good run of form at the West London club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 25-year-old has banged in 12 goals and earned six assists in 48 matches for Chelsea this season across all competitions.

The Argentina international is currently one of the best playmakers in the Premier League. Therefore, it is no wonder that Man City are hoping to get a deal done for him later this year.

His current contract at Stamford Bridge will run out in the summer of 2032, which could make it difficult for the Mancunian giants to consider at the end of this season.

Should Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola Get Fernandez On Board?

Fernandez is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing his lines when required and can even strike the ball with venom from long range.

The Argentine talent has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and is an energetic runner with the ball at his feet. Fernandez is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder or as an attacking midfielder if told to do so. He already knows the Premier League well and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Mancunian club.

We can expect Fernandez to bring more energy and dynamism to Man City boss Pep Guardiola’s defence. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium in the coming seasons.

At 25, Fernandez has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a good choice for the Mancunian giants to pursue in the summer transfer window. With all things considered, Guardiola would be wise to go all out to get him on board later this year.
