In a recent report, journalist Pete O’Rourke revealed that Manchester City are hoping to land Newcastle United full-back Tino Livramento. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian giants could move in for the English defender next summer.

Livramento’s Impressive Form In English Football

Livramento is having a solid campaign at the Tyneside club as he has produced a string of impressive displays on the right side of their backline. The 23-year-old has secured one assist in 19 matches for Newcastle this season across all competitions.

The English talent is currently among the best full-backs in the Premier League. Therefore, Man City would do well to get him on board later this year.

Livramento is under contract at St. James’ Park until the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for the Mancunian club to sign him on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.

Is Livramento A Decent Option For Manchester City?

Livramento loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the offensive.

The English sensation has got the eye to play some decisive passes from the wide areas and is a strong runner with the ball. Livramento is primarily a right-back but can also fill in as a left-back if asked to do so. He has already got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Man City.

Livramento would no doubt bring more quality and depth to Pep Guardiola’s defensive department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium in the coming years.

At 23, Livramento has got his best years ahead of him, which makes him a good option for the Mancunian giants to pursue later this year. He might even help Man City compete for some major trophies in the future. All in all, Guardiola would be wise to go all out to bring him on board at the end of this campaign.
