In a recent report, Media Foot stated that Manchester City are planning to move in for Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento. It is understood that the Mancunian giants are ready to make an offer in the region of €75m to bring the English full-back to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Livramento’s Decent Form In The Premier League

Livramento is having a solid campaign at the Tyneside club as he has managed to put in a series of impressive displays on the right side of their backline. The English full-back has featured in 19 matches for Newcastle this season, securing one assist in the process across all fronts.

The 23-year-old is currently among the best full-backs in the Premier League. Thus, it is no surprise that Man City are showing interest in signing him this summer.

His current deal at Newcastle will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Mancunian club to recruit him on the cheap later this year.

Should Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola Snap Livramento Up?

Livramento is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is proficient at playing his way out from the right flank.

The English sensation can create the odd chance for his teammates from the right flank. Livramento is primarily a right-back but can also serve as a left-back if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Man City.

We can expect Livramento to bring more quality and depth to Pep Guardiola’s defence. He has what it takes to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium in the coming seasons.

At 23, Livramento has his best years ahead of him, which makes him an excellent choice for Man City to consider at the end of this campaign. He might even help the Mancunian outfit compete for some major honours in the future. Therefore, Guardiola would be wise to try everything in his power to snap Livramento up in the summer transfer period.
