In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Manchester City are preparing to move in for Newcastle United star Tino Livramento. It has been stated that the Mancunian outfit are planning to make a €74m offer to acquire the services of the English full-back next year.

Livramento’s Impressive Form In English Football

Livramento is having another solid campaign at the Tyneside club as he has put in a series of impressive displays for them on the defensive end of the pitch. The 23-year-old has registered one assist in 15 appearances for Newcastle this season across all fronts.

The English talent performed his defensive duties well and deserves credit for making 19 tackles, nine blocks, five interceptions and 32 clearances in the Premier League. He has even distributed the ball relatively well after completing 85.1% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at Newcastle will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Man City to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.

Will Livramento Be A Dream Option For Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola?

Livramento is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure possession back for his side inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and can create the odd chance for his teammates from the right flank.

The English sensation has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Manchester City. He is primarily a right-back but can also fill in as a left-back if asked to do so.

We can expect Livramento to enhance the quality of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola’s attack. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium in the coming years.

At 23, Livramento has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a dream option for Man City to consider in the long run. He might even help the Mancunian giants compete for some major trophies over the next few years. All in all, Guardiola would be wise to move in for him this January or next summer.
