In a recent report, Tutto Juve claimed that Manchester City are eyeing a move for Juventus youngster Nicolo Rovella. It has been revealed that Man City are keen on recruiting the Italian midfielder who is currently playing on loan at Monza.
The Segrate-born talent has enjoyed a decent loan spell at Monza as he has managed to put in a run of solid displays at the centre of their midfield. Rovella has made 11 appearances for the Italian club this season but is yet to find the back of the net or pick up an assist for them in all competitions.
However, the Italian sensation has caught the eye with his performances in midfield based on his average of 1.7 tackles, 2.0 interceptions, 0.9 shots and 1.4 key passes per game in Serie A. He was even tidy when distributing the ball after making 89.2% of his attempted passes in the Italian top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract with Juve is set to run out in the summer of 2026. Hence, Man City will have to make a big offer if they want to get him on board next year.

Rovella is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team at the centre of the park. He can strike the ball with power and accuracy from long range and has got the vision to create some decent chances in the final third. The Italian whizkid is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also operate as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so.
Someone with Rovella’s skillset and potential will be a decent option for Man City to pursue in the long run. He is already good enough to serve as a sporadic presence in Pep Guardiola‘s squad and has got the ceiling to become a future star at the Etihad Stadium.
At 21, the future looks quite promising for Rovella as long as he continues to improve his all-around game with each season. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football.
Still, the pros outweigh the cons of recruiting the Italian starlet as he is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the coming seasons.
