In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey mentioned that Manchester City have launched a fresh move for Newcastle United ace Tino Livramento this summer. It has been revealed that the Mancunian club are keen on recruiting the English full-back but the Magpies are unwilling to let him leave this off-season.
Livramento put in a string of impressive displays on the right side of Newcastle’s backline during this campaign. The 22-year-old made 45 appearances for the Magpies last season, securing one assist in the process across all competitions.
The English talent performed his defensive duties well as he made 54 tackles, 37 blocks and 23 interceptions in the Premier League. He was even accurate when distributing possession from the right flank after completing 85.4% of his attempted passes in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Tyneside club will run out in the summer of 2028. Therefore, Man City would have to make a sizable offer if they are serious about signing Livramento this off-season.

Livramento is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually clears his lines when needed and can even create the odd chance for his teammates from the right flank.
The London-born talent is primarily a right-back but can also serve as a left-back or as a right-sided wide player if needed. He has already got a lot of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Mancunian club.
Livramento would inject more quality into Man City head coach Pep Guardiola‘s defence. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium in the coming seasons.
At 22, Livramento has the potential to be a future star in the Premier League as long as he continues to develop with each year. Hence, he would be a great fit for Man City’s needs in the long run. All in all, Guardiola should focus on moving in for him before the end of this transfer window.
