Manchester City launch limited-edition collection with Never Made And Primitive Skateboarding | OneFootball

Manchester City has today announced a collaboration with Never Made and Primitive Skateboarding to launch a limited-edition merchandise collection.

This sees the Club work closely with acclaimed Mexican American artist Francisco Reyes Jr., known as Never Made, and Paul Rodriquez Jr., founder of Primitive Skateboarding, to launch a limited-edition merchandise collection that celebrates the fusion of art and football.

The collection showcases Never Made’s bold graphic style across a range of products including a traditional football scarf, bandana, tote bag, and the flagship skate deck, created in collaboration with Primitive Skateboarding – the LA-based brand founded by iconic professional skateboarder, Paul Rodriquez Jr to reflect the spirit of Los Angeles and the communities that shape it.

Across the entire range, each product has a unique design that layers the worker bee and the monarch butterfly onto the red rose of Lancaster from the Club’s crest. Together, these symbols reflect the city’s industrious heritage, the story of belonging, and the cultures that converge in the game of football.

Francisco Reyes Jr., AKA Never Made, commented: “Collaborating with Manchester City and Primitive Skateboarding is truly a dream come true. I drew inspiration from two powerful symbols: the bee, representing Manchester’s working-class culture, and the monarch butterfly, which pays tribute to my family’s roots in Michoacán and the migration from Mexico to the US. Uniting these icons under the ‘Man City of Angels’ banner allowed me to connect the Club’s story with the spirit of Los Angeles. It’s a celebration of cultures in a symbiotic cross-pollination of design, sport, and community.”

Paul Rodriguez Jr., founder of Primitive Skateboarding, added: “This being our first collaboration with a football club makes it truly meaningful. Never Made brought a powerful artistic vision to the project, and following a Primitive tradition, we added our signature gold foil to the Manchester City crest on the deck – the perfect way to bring it all together!
