The performances of Manchester City in the Premier League throughout November have seen the club recognised by the division with three award nominations.

November proved to be a month of both commanding victories and hard-learned lessons for Pep Guardiola’s side, as Manchester City continued to navigate a hectic winter schedule approaching an even busier December.

Impressive home wins over Bournemouth and Liverpool highlighted the squad’s attacking sharpness, while defeat at Newcastle provided a reminder of the competitiveness in the division. Across those fixtures, several individuals stepped up to deliver key contributions, with standout displays now earning formal acknowledgement from the league.

The month opened with a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium, a result that set the tone for a dominant outing against Liverpool shortly afterwards. City’s 3-0 win over Arne Slot’s team was one of their most complete performances of the season, with Jeremy Doku scoring his only goal of the month during a dazzling individual run.

Despite finishing the month with a 2-1 defeat at St James’ Park, Manchester City’s overall level of performance has been rewarded with three nominations across the Premier League’s monthly awards.

Jeremy Doku has been nominated for Premier League Player of the Month alongside Newcastle’s Harvey Barnes, Everton’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, Chelsea’s Reece James, Arsenal’s Declan Rice, and Brentford’s Igor Thiago.

In fact, Doku also received a nomination for the Premier League’s November Goal of the Month prize, with his sensational individual strike in the 3-0 win over Liverpool put forward as a contender.

Elsewhere, and Doku’s manager Pep Guardiola has seen himself nominated for the Premier League’s Manager of the Month alongside Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery, Brighton’s Fabian Hurzeler, Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca, and Fulham’s Marco Silva.

With three nominations across key categories, City now await the outcome, with winners announced in the coming days. Doku’s Player of the Month chances may hinge on how heavily voters weigh City’s statement win over Liverpool, while his goal against the Anfield side is expected to be among the stronger contenders thanks to the quality of the solo effort.

Pep Guardiola, meanwhile, will hope his side’s consistency across November earns him recognition in a category filled with high-performing rivals. A strong December run could also strengthen the narrative around City’s steady upward trajectory as the campaign intensifies.

Regardless of the final results, the nominations reflect a month in which Manchester City’s attacking flair and tactical control came to the fore, with the side looking better with each passing game despite significant improvements still needed.
