Rodri will have to pay a substantial penalty

In February, Tottenham held Manchester City to a draw in a highly charged encounter (2-2). The dropped points sparked the fury of the City players, who lashed out at the officiating after a clash between Dominik Solanke and Marc Guehi on Spurs' second goal.
After the match, Rodri stated: "I know we've won too much and people don't want us to keep winning, but the referee has to remain neutral. It's not fair, because we work very hard. When it's all over, it's frustrating."
According to the BBC on Monday, Rodri avoided a suspension but was slapped with a fine of over €80,000. In an attempt to soften the punishment, the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner sent two letters to the English FA explaining that his comments had been misunderstood.
