Manchester City have completed the signing of Iliman Ndiaye from Everton on a five-year deal for around €75 million, according to British reports.
City finalised the move on Tuesday evening, only hours before the English window shut. He had initially been expected to join Tottenham, but City overtook Spurs late on.
The 26-year-old Senegal winger arrives after a season with Marseille in 2023-24. He has 43 caps and five goals for his country.
Marseille will receive about €5 million from the transfer, thanks to a 10% sell-on clause on Everton’s profit.
Everton’s capital gain is put at €55 million, after buying Ndiaye for €20 million. Given Marseille’s finances and a summer without signings, the windfall will be welcome.
