Manchester City take on West Ham today at the Etihad Stadium in an important Premier League fixture for Pep Guardiola’s side. If City can pick up three points today, they’ll move to the top of the table ahead of Arsenal’s match against Everton later this evening. City will face a West Ham side that has struggled this season. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side sits 18th in the league table and does look to have frailties at the back. They do pack a threat up front so Manchester City will have to be at their best to see off the threat of a desperate West Ham side.
Pep Guardiola told the media yesterday that Jeremy Doku, Rodri, Mateo Kovacic, and John Stones will miss today’s match due to injury. Guardiola did hint that there could be a chance that Rodri, Jeremy Doku and John Stones could return in the coming weeks. Pep Guardiola didn’t provide an update on Oscar Bobb’s availability for today’s match against West Ham. Bobb suffered a hamstring injury in Manchester City’s 2-nil over Brentford earlier this week, and it seems unlikely that he will feature today.

Rayan Ait-Nouri and Omar Marmoush are unavailable due to international duty. The pair won’t be back until sometime in January, when their participation at the African Cup of Nations ends with Algeria and Egypt.
Gianluigi Donnarumma: Donnarumma had a midweek rest, and I expect him to start in goal today against West Ham.
Matheus Nunes: There is no reason that I can see that Matheus Nunes won’t resume his duties at right-back today.
Ruben Dias: Manchester City will need their defensive leader to continue his strong recent form today against West Ham.
Josko Gvardiol: I’m expecting Pep Guardiola to pick Dias and Gvardiol at centre-back today.
Nathan Ake: It wouldn’t surprise me to see Nico O’Reilly rested today and with Ake playing well against Brentford I can see him slotting in at left-back.
Nico: The Spanish midfielder is a certain starter in midfield today.
Tijjani Reijnders: Reijnders has begun to show signs that he is adjusting to life at City. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bernardo Silva start on the bench and that could see Reijnders start in midfield.
Phil Foden: Foden is a certain starter in Manchester City’s midfield today.
Rayan Cherki: The French international is in superb form currently and he looks to be a lock to start today at the Etihad.
Savinho: The Brazilian international has shown positive signs in terms of his performance recently and I can see him starting against West Ham.
Erling Haaland: Haaland was rested against Brentford and he is certain to start today at the Etihad.
