Manchester United came back from behind to beat Leicester 2-1 in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Here are our player ratings from the game.
(A score of 6 is around average)
Andre Onana 5 – Couldn’t keep Leicester’s opening goal out
Leny Yoro 5 – OK performance. Some decent play down the right although he was open down his side for the visitors’ opener.
Harry Maguire 7.5 – Some wayward passes and left Wilfred Ndidi with time and space to fire his shot, which directly led to Bobby De Cordova-Reid finding the back of the net. However, he won the game for United with his headed finish at the death. He may have been offside but luckily for United, there was no VAR.
Noussair Mazraoui 7 – Good at both right-centre-back and left-centre-back. Brilliant tackle to thwart a Leicester counter-attack.
Patrick Dorgu 7 – Undoubtedly United’s best player in the first half. Positive with his passing and touches and always looked to get forward. Combined well with Amad and was aggressive in his duels and challenges. An impressive debut!
Manuel Ugarte 2 – Easily bypassed in midfield due to his propensity to always snap into a challenge. Missed multiple opportunities to advance the ball and find his teammates in space, instead electing to go backwards. Recklessly lost the ball for Leicester’s goal.
Bruno Fernandes 4 – Offered next to nothing and barely noticed him for most parts of the game. Brilliant free-kick delivery into Maguire’s path for the winning goal.
Diogo Dalot 3 – Poor again at left-wing back. Did nothing going forward and also unconvincing defensively.
Amad 5 – A little bit of a threat in a tepid game that lacked quality but nothing to rave about.
Kobbie Mainoo 3 – Just not good enough tonight. Didn’t get on the ball enough and lost a fair few duels. Restored to the number 10 position but he didn’t have an impact.
Rasmus Hojlund 2 – Another hopeless performance.
Alejandro Garnacho 8 – Bright spark when he was thrust into the action. Injected some much-needed energy and impetus, especially in attack. Looked to take on his man and either fire a shot or deliver a ball inside the box. Nearly got on the score sheet when he got in behind the Leicester defence and lifted the ball over the goalkeeper but Caleb Okoli somehow managed to scoop it off the line and up unto the crossbar.
Joshua Zirkzee 7.5 – Got a goal to restore parity when United desperately needed someone to step up and breathe some life into the team.
Casemiro 5 – On the pitch for a minute or less.
