OneFootball Videos

Senne Lammens 7 – Made two incredible saves in either half to keep United in the game, first reacting well to deny Joachim Andersen and then stopping Harry Wilson’s effort. Deserved to keep a clean sheet for his efforts.

Diogo Dalot 6 – Difficult assignment against Samuel Chukwueze but he handled the Nigerian superstar well. Nearly registered an assist when he embarked ona run and slipped in Bryan Mbeumo, who should have fired home.

Harry Maguire 4 – Was enjoying a good performance until he conceded a penalty late on.

Lisandro Martinez 6 – The steady presence we’ve come to expect. Reliable as ever.

Luke Shaw 5 – Provided depth on the left but his final ball was lacking a little bit.

Casemiro 9 – Colossal display! Broke the deadlock in the 19th minute with a powerful header and assisted the second goal, winning the ball back high up the pitch and then supplying the assist. Came off to a standing ovation from the Old Trafford faithful. Notable yet again that United almost fully collapsed once he was withdrawn.

Kobbie Mainoo 7 – Produced a brilliant sliding challenge on Raul Jimenez, igniting a roar from the home crowd. Remaining typically composed in midfield, he helped United dictate the tempo and establish control. Floated a superb pass into the path of Bruno Fernandes, who was just unable to make a clean connection.

Bruno Fernandes 8 – Assisted Casemiro’s goal as well as the winner for his 11th and 12th of the campaign respectively.

Amad 6.5 – Came close to giving United the lead in the early stages with a curling effort but Bern Leno thwarted him. Gave Antonee Robinson a hard time and also defended diligently.

Matheus Cunha 8 – Sensational finish to double United’s lead. Thought he had won a penalty but it was ruled out by VAR.

Bryan Mbeumo 4 – A day to forget. Nothing seemed to work, and he spurned good chances in a frustrating outing.

Substitutes

Benjamin Sesko 8.5 – Delivered the final, decisive blow when it looked like United had surrendered the lead. Impact! Hero!

Manuel Ugarte 5 – Couldn’t provide the same defensive shield as Casemiro.

Noussair Mazraoui 5 – Just OK

Leny Yoro 5- On for the dying embers of the game.
