Manchester United: Amorim raises his voice!

Manchester United: Amorim's outburst after West Ham
Manchester United let three precious points slip away by conceding a bitter draw against West Ham (1-1), at the end of a match they seemed to have under control. Ahead thanks to a strike from Diogo Dalot, the Red Devils retreated, lost their grip, and eventually cracked late on with a goal from Soungoutou Magassa. Instead of breaking into the top 5, they remain stuck in a worrying 8th place, confirming a form that is far too fragile for a Champions League contender.
In the post-match press conference, Ruben Amorim didn’t offer any excuses. Clear-sighted, the Portuguese coach highlighted his team’s obvious shortcomings, unable to consistently dictate the tempo.
"We had good moments, but we lost control of the match a bit in the first half and again after the goal in the second. We should have killed the game off after the first goal," he lamented,
pointing out the team’s poor management of second balls and their struggles to capitalize on key situations.
Amorim also warned about defensive gaps, especially from set pieces:
"We were controlling the match. We knew it. We needed to defend higher up the pitch. We knew set pieces would be problematic given the size difference in the squad."
Now looking ahead to the trip to Wolverhampton, he issued a stern warning:
"Every match is important. We have to win the next one."
The Red Devils can no longer afford any slip-ups.
