In a recent report, The Daily Mail stated that Manchester United are eyeing a move for Bournemouth playmaker Marcus Tavernier. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are showing interest in recruiting the English talent in this transfer window.
Tavernier is having a decent campaign at the English club as he has produced a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 26-year-old has found the back of the net six times and picked up four assists in 26 matches for the Cherries this season across all fronts.
The English attacker is currently among the best playmakers in the Premier League. Therefore, it is no surprise that Man United are eager to get a deal done for him this summer.
His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him this off-season.

Tavernier is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field. He can strike the ball with power from long range and can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team.
The Leeds-born talent is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also function as a wide player if told to do so by his manager. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Man United.
We can expect Tavernier to enhance the quality of Michael Carrick’s attack. He has what it takes to compete for a regular first-team place at the Mancunian club in the coming years.
At 26, Tavernier has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent fit for Man United’s needs in the upcoming transfer window. He might even help the Red Devils compete for some major silverware in the future. With all things considered, Carrick would be wise to go all out to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams at the end of this campaign.
