In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Manchester United are eyeing a move for Atletico Madrid right-back Marcos Llorente. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are showing interest in bringing the Spanish talent to Old Trafford this summer.
The 31-year-old is having a solid campaign at the Madrid club as he has put in a run of impressive displays on the right side of their defence. Llorente has netted three goals and secured three assists in 29 matches for Atletico Madrid this season across multiple competitions.
The Spanish defender is currently performing at a high level in La Liga. Therefore, it is no surprise that Man United are showing interest in recruiting Llorente next summer.
His current contract at the Wanda Metropolitano will expire at the end of next season, which could open the door for Man United to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Llorente is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his side inside his half. He usually clears his lines when required and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.
The Spaniard can shoot the ball well from long range and can create some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net. Llorente is primarily a right-back but can also function as a right-sided wide player or as a box-to-box midfielder if needed. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League.
Llorente would undoubtedly enhance the quality of Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s defence. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford.
At 31, Llorente has still got a few good years left in him to play at his best. Therefore, it makes sense for the Red Devils to move in for him this summer. Llorente might even help Man United compete across all fronts in the coming seasons. Therefore, he would be a good fit for the Mancunian club in the short term.
