Locatelli has enjoyed a good run of form at the Italian club after he produced a series of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 28-year-old has scored one goal and earned one assist in 31 matches for Juventus this season across all competitions.

The Italian sensation is currently among the best holding midfielders in Serie A. Hence, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are hoping to land Locatelli this summer.

His current contract at Juventus will expire in the summer of 2028. Hence, it won’t be easy for Man United to get a deal done for the Italy international on the cheap at the end of this campaign.

Will Locatelli Be A Good Choice For Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick?

Locatelli is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot.

The Italian talent is a good passer of the ball and can make some decent runs with it from midfield. Locatelli is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also serve as a box-to-box midfielder if required. However, only time will tell whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to sign him this summer.

We can expect Locatelli to add more quality and depth to Man United boss Michael Carrick’s midfield department. He is more than capable of competing for a regular first-team spot at the Mancunian club in the coming years.
