In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Manchester United are in the mix to sign Club Tijuana playmaker Gilberto Mora. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils would have to compete with Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to land the Mexican whizkid this summer.
Mora enjoyed a good run of form at the Mexican club in the previous campaign when he put in a handful of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Mexican talent scored six goals and secured one assist in 20 matches for Club Tijuana last season in all competitions.
The 17-year-old is currently one of the best young playmakers in his homeland. Thus, the Red Devils would do well to win the race for his services later this year.
His current contract at Club Tijuana will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Man United to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Mora is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team.
The Mexican prospect is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also play as a left-winger if asked to do so by his manager. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth in the Premier League if the Reds manage to snap him up in this transfer window.
We can expect Mora to bring more quality and depth to Man United boss Michael Carrick’s attack in the long run. He is already good enough to serve as a decent rotational piece in the Mancunian club’s squad.
At 17, the future looks quite bright for Mora as long as he continues to improve with each year. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Man United should focus on stepping up their efforts to sign him in this transfer window.
