In a recent report, SportMediaSet stated that Manchester United are preparing to move in for AS Roma midfielder Manu Kone. It has been claimed that the Red Devils are planning to launch a move for the France international in this transfer window.
Kone enjoyed a good run of form at the Italian club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of solid displays for them at the centre of the park. The 25-year-old managed to impress as he made 37 appearances for Roma last season, scoring two goals and picking up three assists across multiple competitions.
The French talent is currently among the most talented central midfielders in Serie A. Hence, Man United would do well to get a deal done for him this off-season.
His current contract at the Italian club will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Kone is a good tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is an accurate passer as well.
The French sensation is full of energy and running at the centre of the park. Kone can even chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his side. However, there are some concerns over whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to bring him on board later this year.
We can expect Kone to add more quality and depth to Man United boss Michael Carrick’s midfield department. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Theatre of Dreams next season.
At 25, Kone has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Red Devils to consider in this transfer period. However, Carrick has to give him some time to adjust to life in England before he can get the best out of the French midfielder ace at the Mancunian club.
