Bryan Mbeumo joined Manchester United this summer from Brentford. He made his debut in the Red Devils shirt on Sunday, August 3, 2025, during a friendly against Everton (2-2). The performance certainly caught the attention of his coach, Ruben Amorim.

After the match, the Manchester United manager shared his thoughts on his new Cameroonian signing. While he acknowledged Mbeumo's strengths, Amorim also pointed out areas that need improvement.

"He played well. Of course, he has to improve in a lot of areas. Physically, he’s not quite there yet, but that’s normal. His connection with the players, his runs… he’s going to be important for us," said Ruben Amorim.

It’s clear that Bryan Mbeumo still has to prove himself within his new team. During the 46 minutes he played against Everton on Sunday, he nonetheless managed to catch the eye of the Portuguese coach and earn some positive feedback.
