Manchester United confirmed XI vs FC Twente: Amad, Rashford and Eriksen start | OneFootball

Manchester United are eyeing a winning start in the Europa League when they welcome FC Twente to Old Trafford this evening.

The Reds, who will face Erik ten Hag’s former club for the first time, will be keen to hit the ground running after a slow start to the season.Ten Hag didn’t report any fresh injuries from the scoreless draw against Crystal Palace, so he had plenty of players to select from against FC Twente.

Andre Onana starts between the posts, which means Altay Bayindir will have to wait to make his third appearance for the club.

Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Diogo Dalot are in the back four.

Christian Eriksen starts in midfield again along with Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes.

The front three consists of Amad, Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford – which means the Ivorian is the only mainstay in attack this season, being rewarded not just for his improvement for chance creation in the final third. Hopefully, United can put those chances away against their Dutch opposition tonight.

Bench: Bayindir, Heaton, De Ligt, Evans, Collyer, Mainoo, Mount, Antony, Garnacho, Hojlund.

United added seven youngsters to their ‘B’ list today, some of whom played in the EFL Trophy tie at Doncaster last night.

FC Twente fans have travelled in their numbers after bringing around 3,500 at Old Trafford tonight. They will be loud in the away end.
