Man Utd finished the game with ten men after Benjamin Sesko limped off
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has expressed concerns over Benjamin Sesko’s injury.
Sesko started on the bench against Tottenham on Saturday, with Amorim opting to play without a recognised forward - repeating the set-up from last month’s win over Liverpool at Anfield.
The striker was introduced to proceedings in north London just before the hour mark, replacing Noussair Mazraoui and had a golden chance to put United back in front shortly after Mathys Tel’s equaliser.
Picked out by a fine reverse pass from Mason Mount, Sesko found himself clean through on goal but was denied by a superb last-ditch tackle by Micky van de Ven.
That proved to be the 22-year-old’s final action of the afternoon as he headed straight down the tunnel upon struggling with what looked like a knee issue.
United had used up all their substitutions at that point which meant they finished the game with ten men.
Asked for an update on Sesko, and Harry Maguire who also went off with a suspected hamstring injury, Amorim said: “I don’t know, I have to check. My biggest concern is with Ben.
“For me, they are all the same but we need to understand what happened.”
When asked specifically if Sesko could be facing a lengthy period on the sidelineds, Amorim said: “He has something in his knee, so let's see. We think he has a problem."
"It's the knee and we never know," he said. "I think that [Sesko form] is not the biggest concern now. I'm more concerned with an injury because it's in the knee and I don't know [how serious it is]."

Kobbie Mainoo missed the game in north London with a knock, while Lisandro Martinez was not named in the matchday squad following his return to training.
Despite being at a one-man disadvantage and conceding in the 91st minute, United rallied and equalised through Matthijs de Ligt’s towering header to earn a point and extend their unbeaten run to five games.
Man Utd welcome Everton to Old Trafford after the international break and then face Crystal Palace away from home before the end of the month.
