Manchester United defender Willy Kambwala is set to undergo a medical at Villarreal on Sunday ahead of a permanent exit from Old Trafford.
Kambwala got a few opportunities last season due to injuries to several defenders and was expected to stay at the club.
However, the 19-year-old French defender rejected an offer of a new deal and has been considering his options this summer.
It has been claimed that Kambwala is now on the cusp of leaving the Premier League giants in favour of a move to Spain.
According to French daily Le Parisien, the defender is scheduled to undergo a medical at Villarreal on Sunday.
The Spanish club have a deal in place to sign the teenage defender from Manchester United on a permanent deal this summer.
Villarreal have agreed to pay a fee of €10m plus add-ons to Manchester United for Kambwala, who is in the final year of his contract.
Personal terms are in place and the Frenchman will sign a five-year deal once he successfully passes a medical with Villarreal.
