Manchester United have reportedly exercised options in the contracts of Ella Toone and three of her teammates.
The Guardian have reported that Manchester United have exercised the contracts of Ella Toone, Elizabeth Terland, Lisa Naalsund and Gabby George.
This would extend their respective contracts at the club until the end of the 2026-27 season.
All four players were on contracts which were due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
They were part of a host of top WSL players who were set to become free agents this summer.
That list included players like Bunny Shaw of Manchester City, Arsenal’s Emily Fox and Chelsea pair Lucy Bronze and Hannah Hampton.

Ella Toone has been in exceptional form for Manchester United so far this campaign.
The midfielder has eight goal contributions, which is only behind Bunny Shaw’s 15 in the WSL.
Elisabeth Terland has scored 10 goals in all competitions, seven of which have been in the Champions League.
Lisa Naalsund has made just two starts in the WSL this season while Gabby George has made just one start.
United have also been boosted in January by the signings of Lea Schuller and Hanna Lundkvist.
Saying that her initial talk with head coach Marc Skinner persuaded her that the club would suit her, she said: “I was very happy to have this talk and after, of course, I saw the games, and I think that this team and the way they play football can fit me very well.”
She added: “I hopefully will score many goals here, but I think exactly this direct play is what is my strength too. I hope I can help the team.”
During her seven years at Bayern Munich, Schuller scored more than 100 goals, helping them to win four Bundesliga titles.
Lundkvist, meanwhile, joins the club as a free agent after her contract at San Diego Wave expired.
Manchester United sit fourth in the WSL at the halfway stage, nine points behind Manchester City.
The Red Devils return to action on January 10th against reigning European champions Arsenal.
United could look to strengthen their side further during the January transfer window.
Their need to strengthen the squad is made even more important due to their progression in the Champions League.
United are due to face Atletico Madrid in the playoffs of the Women’s Champions League.
