Manchester United are eyeing a potential January transfer window move for Olympiacos midfielder Christos Mouzakitis, according to the Sun.
They want to strengthen in the middle of the park in January as manager Ruben Amorim looks to mount a top-four challenge this term.
Mouzakitis has caught the eye of the Red Devils, but they will face competition from Brighton & Hove Albion for the 18-year-old Greek international.
They view the left-footed central midfielder, who has been likened to Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta due to his style of play, as a possible replacement for Carlos Baleba.
Arsenal, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Juventus, Villarreal and Atletico Madrid have also been linked with Mouzakitis.
He starred as Olympiacos won the UEFA Youth League in 2023-24 and also helped them secure the Super League Greece title and Greek Football Cup after stepping up to the first team the following season.
Mouzakitis made the Super League Greece Team of the Season at the end of the campaign and was also named Super League Greece Young Player of the Season.
While Mouzakitis is currently valued at £13.2 million, his asking price is expected to skyrocket if clubs come calling in January.
It is unclear whether Man United will make a concrete move for him in the next transfer window, but he has the potential to play for them.
Man United will likely continue to monitor his situation before making a final decision.
