Manchester United fans are planning large protest against the club’s owners before the match against Fulham on 1 February.

Thousands of Man United supporters are preparing to stage major protest ahead of the home game against Fulham on 1 February.

The demonstration is aimed at both the Glazer family & minority owner Jim Ratcliffe.

The fan group The 1958 expects more than 6000 supporter to take part in march outside Old Trafford. According to The Independent it could become the largest fan protest in the club’s history.

Long running anger toward the owners

The Glazer family have faced strong opposition from United fans since completing their takeover in 2005.

Supporters repeatedly protested against rising debt levels and what they see as poor financial management during their ownership.

Ratcliffe who became co owner in February 2024 is now also under pressure. The 1958 group stated that he will be main target of the protest arguing that his partnership with the Glazers has not brought the change many fans expected.

A spokesperson for the group said that Ratcliffe had chosen to ally with the Glazer family and in their view this would help them remain in control of the club.

The fan group confirmed that the protest will take place regardless of recent results including the dramatic derby victory over Manchester City.

The spokesperson stressed that the issue goes beyond performances on the pitch... According to the group the protest is not about wins or losses but about ownership ,, direction and the future of the club.

Fans keep pressure on the board

The 1958 have long history of organizing protests and marches against the club’s ownership. They believe sustained pressure is the only way to force meaningful change at board level.
