Manchester United supporters unveiled a pro-immigration banner at Old Trafford during Sunday’s 2-1 Premier League match against Crystal Palace.

The demonstration followed comments on immigration made by Jim Ratcliffe in February. In an interview with Sky News, he said the United Kingdom had been colonised by immigrants.

The banner stated that MUFC was proudly colonised by immigrants and showed images of overseas players, including Éric Cantona and Patrice Evra.

Ratcliffe owns 25% of Manchester United and is also the owner of OGC Nice.

He later apologised for his choice of words, while saying it was important to address controlled, well managed immigration that benefits economic growth.
