AC Milan’s search for a striker has become the central storyline of their transfer window. Speaking before the Milan-Bari Coppa Italia clash, Igli Tare underlined the urgency: “The transfer market is unpredictable, but we know a striker needs to arrive.”
Tare confirmed that Rasmus Hojlund is firmly on their radar. “Hojlund is a good option for us. We’re evaluating him these days, but the transfer market is unpredictable. We know we have to intervene in that position, and we also know they need to be players who can bring something extra to this group.” His absence from Amorim’s squad against Arsenal has been interpreted as a sign that a move could be imminent.

The Rossoneri are also monitoring Dusan Vlahovic. “Vlahovic? That’s also an option; a striker has to arrive,” Tare added, stressing Milan’s determination.
As reported by Gazzetta, Milan want not only numbers but quality. Tare’s remarks reveal a desire for a forward who can elevate the squad technically and mentally. With both Hojlund and Vlahovic mentioned, the next days could define Milan’s season.

From an expectant supporter’s perspective, this feels like a pivotal moment for Milan. The club have a proud tradition of elite strikers, from Marco van Basten to Andriy Shevchenko, and fans are desperate to see a new figure leading the line. The fact that Tare has spoken so openly about Hojlund and Vlahovic shows that Milan are serious, but it also raises nerves. Supporters will worry that public declarations might push prices higher or alert rival clubs.
Hojlund has the raw pace, power and instinct that could make him a San Siro hero, though his recent omission at Sporting is a red flag. Was it precaution, or a hint of underlying issues? Vlahovic, meanwhile, offers proven Serie A pedigree, but Juventus are never easy negotiators. Milan fans are excited but sceptical, knowing how many times the Rossoneri have chased names only to end up settling. There is optimism, there is anxiety, and above all there is impatience. They want the deal sealed soon, before opportunity slips away.
